Red Hill Farm

Red Hill Farm, owned by the Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia, is one of the sisters’ many environmental initiatives. Red Hill Farm is a six-acre Community Supported Agriculture farm that has been in production for over 20 years. It provides produce for 120 members as well as for the Sisters of St. Francis. The farm has always been managed by utilizing organic practices. We build healthy soil with the use of cover crops and compost. Weeds are managed with mechanical cultivation and hand weeding.  Pests are managed through crop rotation and the use of floating row covers.
